Verify
Email, phone, a passport, driver's licence or government ID card with a live selfie, plus our member agreement.
- 02
List or post
Travellers list trips from the U.S. to anywhere, free — adding an e-ticket is optional and earns a travel-verified mark. Senders post items free with size, weight, declared value, packaging and 1–5 private photos.
- 03
Match
We match on destination first — same city, then other cities in the same country — ranked by how close the departure is. Senders can match one of their requests straight to a trip.
- 04
Pay to connect
A sender pays a flat introduction fee in full by card (no instalments) and the traveller is notified right away. Optionally, feature a request to pin it to the top of search.

Both agree
The traveller sees the item details and must accept. Nothing is revealed simply because someone paid; if they decline, the credit comes back.
- 06
Introduction
Contact details unlock for both sides, the match is marked as arranged and locked from edits, and both can rate each other afterwards.

Government IDs and verification documents are stored privately and are never publicly accessible. Contact details are released only after both people agree to the introduction.
Pricing
Free to use. Pay only for the introduction.
You're paying CarryMyItem to facilitate an introduction to a verified traveller matching your route. This is not payment for transportation or delivery services. If a traveller declines, your connection credit returns to you for another traveller. The featured option pins your request to the top of search until it's matched.
Good to know
- Connection credits expire 60 days after purchase, with a reminder 7 days before. Expired credits aren't refunded.
- Edit or delete your trips and requests any time until they're matched — then the agreed details are locked.
- Every payment has a printable receipt under Dashboard → Payments.
- Item photos are private: only travellers who tap Interested or are invited can see them.
- For your security you're signed out after 5 minutes of inactivity, and account activity is recorded to protect members.
- Travellers can inspect any item and refuse it, penalty-free. Prohibited items are never allowed.
